The dance of darkness and light

Lao Tzu asks us to ‘rejoice in the way things are,’ this is a powerful statement, as this is an invitation to find beauty in and the appreciation of everything.

The rain and the sunshine, our sacred sadness and the ecstatic bliss.

The withdrawal of yin and the expansion of yang, in winter and summer, in darkness and light seeing it’s all part of the same expression of life.

What is today calling from you?

Stillness or movement, expansion or contraction, rest or activity.

Notice life, pay attention, contraction can be the fuel of expansion, darkness gives rise to the dawn.

In this sacred understanding contraction leads to birth, both dance together as eternal friends, supporting each other in this cosmic dance.
